Covid 19

There is so much uncertainty about everything during this time. I remember the first reported case in BC. Everyone was talking about it, some people were freaking out. I didn't ignore it, but I chose not to focus on it, because that doesn't do any good. I really wasn't expecting it to get this big and spread this wide. I was obviously very wrong. It's crazy how many frequent tasks are affected by the virus. Going to the store used to be so simple and now it has turned into this huge ordeal. Buying, bringing food home, and wiping the items off, takes quite a lot of time; a whole lot of time for something that might not be preventing anything.
I feel for those who have lost their jobs during these hard times. I am very lucky to have a family to be with and food to eat everyday, and for those things I am immensely grateful. I haven't been paying much attention to the news because I don't think it would do anything but worry me. What I've been finding interesting is that there have been some people who think they contracted the virus before this all started. There are even some people who think they had it before it was even announced that it had entered Canada. Of course, there is no certainty about whether those people actually had the virus or just some type of flu. If an antibody test did eventually come out, it would be interesting to see if those individuals have the antibodies or not. I read an article saying that professional sports might not have fans returning to the stadiums when sports start back up again, until a vaccine is available. This is a big statement because a vaccine might not exist for quite a long time. Only time will tell.
At the time that I am writing this, there are just over one thousand new cases in Canada. This is a high number, but it seems as though the number of cases has been decreasing and that is some good news. Canada seems  to have hit its peak, and hopefully we can maintain the current safety measures to prevent another peak. It seems to be looking up as they are now allowing small gatherings of a maximum of six people, as long as nobody is showing or feeling any symptoms at all. This is exciting news, and there are so many unknowns, therefore it is important to stay safe and stay home for those who can.
This is the article I read about sports resuming
